The challenge for IMS was to deliver efficiency and accuracy for interpreter bookings and integrate multiple operations without glitches across the hospital’s existing systems.

A state-of-the-art booking management system was designed for handling, managing and coordinating interpreter requests and bookings that would meet Western Health’s needs.The system provides seamless integration with hospital and medical centre systems and simplifies the scheduling of interpreters by language and date.

IMS also provides an analytical dashboard to identify booking lifecycles with reporting tools for languages, clinics, sites, agencies, and interpreters through a single portal interface.

The result has been a unified interpreter scheduling platform that has helped the Language Services team deliver vital services to the staff and patients of Western Health.
